Business Visa (F):
Business Visa (F Visa) is issued to an alien who is invited to China for a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or internship for a period of no more than six months.
Crew Visa (C):
Crew visa (C Visa) is issued to crewmembers working on board of international trains, airliners or vessels to China.
Employment Visa (Z):
Employment Visa or the Work Visa (Z Visa) is issued to an alien who comes to China for a post or employment, and his/her accompanying family members.
J-1 Visa is issued to foreign reporters and their accompanying dependents. Applicants need to get the approval from related Chinese news authorities before submitting their visa application.
J-2 Visa is issued an alien who comes to China for short-term news coverage. Applicants need to get the approval from related Chinese news authorities before submitting their visa application.
Resident Visa (D):
Resident Visa (D Visa) is issued to an alien who comes to reside permanently in China.
Study Visa (X):
Study Visa (X Visa) is issued to an alien who comes to China for study, advanced studies or intern practice for a period of more than six months. An alien who comes to China to study, short-term advanced studies or intern practice for a period of no more than six months shall apply for an F Visa.
Tourist Group Visa (L):
The Tourist Group Visa (L Visa) is the one that issued to a tourist group organized by the travel agency which comprises at least five (5) members who must travel together both in and out of China. The Tourist Group Visa is evidenced on the Group Tourist Form instead of on the individual passport.
Transit Visa (G):
Transit Visa (G Visa) is issued to an alien who transits through China. Visas are not required in the following circumstances:
