: I am Chinese/Jamaican/American, and my mother was also born in Jamaica. My father was born in China, but is deceased. I have been invited to the Grand Opening of a traditional Chinese restaurant very near to the Chinese New Year. The owners are dear friends and have let me know that I should bring something which is considered good luck, but I'm not sure what that would be. Any advice you might have would be a great help.
: Thanks in advance.

Mandarin Oranges are considered good luck
for the name 'Ji' rhymes with the word 'Ji'
of 'Ji li', which means good luck.
