i have read many books to make noodle dishes - none of which have the taste of chow mein from the restaurant/take away. The taste is smokey/meaty (?) I noticed on one web site that they were adding MSG - does this have a flavour and I wasn't aware that you could buy it.
The same goes with fried rice dishes.
It may be better if i do not find out as i may end up eating it every night and being very fat - mind you i won't have to pay for it.
