I am so fascinated by this obsession some people have with the food Chinese people eat. I mean, why do you care so much about what other people eat? Perhaps you are envious of all the diverse types of dishes available in China which yourself cannot make?

The "serious" answer to your question, if your question can indeed be taken "seriously", is that anything that is nutritious, does not present a health hazard, and does not harm endangered animals, is certainly edible. Why not? For what other possible reasons would one restrict the range and diversity of one's diet (which we have plenty of in China) apart from sheer narrow-mindedness?
