    Famous People in History

The original last name of the Luans was Ji. During the Xi Zhou Dynasty, Tang Shuyus 5th generation descendent Jin Jing was awarded duke in the land of Luan (vicinity of Cheng in Hebei). He had a grandson called Bin. Bins grandson Zhi adopted Luan (name of the land) as their last name. Luan Zhi was the commander in chief of the Jin kingdom, under Jin Wen Gong. In the Battle of Chengpu, Luan Zhi was noted for his contribution in defeating the Chu kingdom, and was made a duke.
