    Guan Yu

Guan Yu was a native of Hedong, who fled to Zhuo Jun because of the wars. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei became blood-brothers of Liu Bei and served him with loyalty. He was known for his righteousness. Separated from his brother because of the war, Guan protected Lius wives and was forced to stay with Cao Caos army. Cao treated Guan with great respect, making him a high ranking general. Cao treated Guan to a small banquet every three days and a big banquet every five days. Cao gave Guan Yu an expensive armor, but Guan would only wear that underneath the worn-out outfit that Liu Bei bought him. Despite Caos nice treatment, Guan refused to betray Liu Bei. As soon as Guan learnt his brothers where about, he led Lius wives to join Liu. Cao sent his generals to stop Guan. Guan killed six of the generals on his way past five cities. Later, Guan was harmed by a poisonous arrow and went through an arm surgery without anesthesia. His bravery and righteousness have been respected by many for generations.
